We need a 'global system of secular ethics'

Dalai Lama

Buddhists never recognized Buddhism as a religion. Buddhism, they say, is a way of life, not a set of rules to be followed when convenient, and ignored when less so. Dalai Lama advocated the development of, what he called:

Global system of Secular Ethics.”

To do so, it seems to me, we must begin at the beginning, drawing on all knowledge, all wisdom, all ethics of the past, and supplement them with what we have learned since.

This may require a marriage of science and religion, reinstating all that religions have a priori eliminated.

My own observations lead me to believe that a state or condition of equilibrium is a prerequisite, a sine qua non, for arriving at a set of ethics that would act as a base from which we’d venture out to conquer new ideas, concepts, and adapt them to phenomenal, no matter how brief, existence. The better the implementation of an idea, the longer would be its shelf-life. The longer it would be sustained before the inevitable seasons would bring about further advancements, leading to still greater durability.

Life is change.

Those who are of pure consciousness, enjoy both, the potential and its manifestation — ultimately, a perfect blend of Being & Becoming. In the meantime, we can all enjoy the ‘divine’ act of creation. We must proceed along the Straight and Narrow, without losing our sense of balance. Without straying too far from the Event Horizon.

If we do, we might fall into the Black Hole, or drift outwards into the endless stasis of Absolute Zero.

The phenomenal reality is our school.

Our training ground.

The world is the creator’s oyster.

Perhaps we shall meet along the way. It’s a large Universe. On the other hand, we are all immortal and all are inseparable individualizations of a single Source. We are, and always have been, individualizations of a single, omnipresent, eternal, indestructible, amorphous, creative energy.

So are rocks, grains of sand, and every blade of grass. In one form or another, there is but a SINGLE source of all phenomenal realities.

In potential and in manifestation.

See you…

And please, never forget that we are all ONE.

PS. In this collection I allowed myself to recommend a few books. The subject matters were just too complex to be tackled in a 500-word blog. After all, the blogs help to explain the philosophy underpinning my novels. Likewise, my Beyond Religion Series essentially qualify as blogs, or slightly longer essays.

Nevertheless, unless you want to go much deeper into the subjects raised in my blogs, please, don’t feel compelled to read any of my novels. They are there for your pleasure, not edification. They also illustrate how the philosophy stated in my blogs might apply to ‘real’ life. At least in novels. In fiction—ever remembering that truth is often stranger than fiction. Enjoy!

Chrysalis of Godhood

Masters and Minions

The advocates of natural selection of physical or biological evolution suffer from one fundamental error. While studying the past, they are clearly unaware of the Present. Yet, as is obvious upon reflection, only the Present creates the past. Hence by studying the Present, its consequences are automatically revealed. It is well expressed by Kate Jones, who kindly proofread my novel ELOHIM.

Man's search for fulfillment and completeness has never had a better articulator and advocate than Stan I. S. Law in 'Elohim'. We witness the chrysalis of godhood growing to dimensions not yet dreamed of. Fascinating characters drawn with an artist's eye of discernment will leave an indelible echo of recognition, and unquenchable hope, in the mind of the perceptive reader.”

(Thank you, Kate)

If we direct our attention at or on the Present, we inevitably become aware of the elusiveness of the phenomenal Universe. The moment we observe any aspect of it, it changes. It is there no more. It is like a piece of music that caresses our ears, and almost immediately merges with the vibrations of the Universe to find immortality only in our memories.

Had we but the courage to realize it, this is true of all other aspects of the phenomenal reality. All things physical, detectible to our senses, are transient, ephemeral, illusory, unreal. Eventually only memories remain, stored in our Subconscious, of which the First Heaven is built.

And yet…

And yet it is only by advancing an idea through mental and emotional rates of vibrations that we can judge if the product of our creativity is worth preserving to enjoy throughout our immortality. And this is what the heroes of my book, Elohim, the men and women who discovered the creative godhood within their awareness, are concern with. The others, the Minions come for a ride, awaiting their turn. But the Masters must live up to their calling.

And let us never forget that there is only one way to be a Master, and that is to act like one.

I hope that reading the Winston Trilogy will inspire you to discover your own potential. Your own Chrysalis of Godhood is waiting, dormant, within you. Within every single one of us. The Creative Potential will not be denied. It is immortal, omnipresent and omnipotent. We are Its instruments. All we need do is to realize it and then cooperate with It as best we can.

This is what real evolution is all about. Not how to improve our technology but how to improve ourselves. How to polish and temper our mental and emotional abilities; to attune ourselves with the Music of the Spheres. When we reach perfect synchronization, perfect harmony with the Universe, we become Sons and Daughters of Gods. We become Elohim, Masters of the Universe.

Welcome to Paradise.

Of Gods and Men

There is a great misconception about our immortality. Religions mention immortal souls without defining what soul is.

Let us get one thing straight. There is NO TIME in hell, or heaven, or any other destinations made up by the sacerdotal fraternity. The “spirit” or “Individualized Consciousness” has Its being ONLY in the PRESENT.

What happens is that the means through which the Individualized Consciousness finds Its expression in temporal reality, i.e. in that which we call ‘life’, are repeated virtually ad infinitum. Time after time I AM reincarnates Itself to sate Its creative nature through the mental and emotional ‘bodies’ it creates. It is these bodies that are very, very hard to ‘repair’. Hence the illusion of eternity.

As individualized units of Consciousness are inseparable from the Single Universal Consciousness, (the Amorphous Energy people like to call God), it is a little hard to imagine that God would send inseparable parts of Itself to eternal Gehenna, or Hell by any other name. This would be unadulterated masochism.

For all who enjoy the subject of hell, I recommend my Essay #20 in BEYOND RELIGION III, “Eternal Damnation.” You might enjoy it.

When the Individualized Consciousness (I AM) decides to enter another creative cycle, It picks up the mental and emotional bodies previously created. It endeavours to improve those creative means to convert the perfect idea into a manifestation, into a transient phenomenal reality. What matters, therefore, is not the end product as such, but the PROCESS itself.

We call this process LIFE.

There is ample evidence that nature, both flora and fauna, are eternally renewing itself, hopefully advancing towards perfection. We, humans, also procreate, and when we pollute our planet beyond repair, the planet is also re-circulated, even as are cells in our physical bodies.

Thus, there is no need to worry. If we don’t mind having 75 trillion cells in our bodies replaced every few years, then we should expect our plant to be renewed every now and then. After all, it’s for our own good. However, as with everything else in this illusory reality, there are the Many and the Few. When our planet undergoes renewal, most of us will take time off. We call it ‘dying’. Hopefully creative force latent in nature will evolve new biological (or other) robots to house our Consciousness. The Few that survive will serve the new species to find their way around the new Eden, until phenomenal reality takes over again, and sends us, again, along the downward spiral. And again. And again…

Again we shall begin in Eden, and end up in a world where a homicidal maniac might press a red button to initiate atomic holocaust. Or nature herself will take steps to end the dismal cycle of Devolution. There are ways…

Below an example just how renewal might happen. Take a deep breath and remember—the real you is immortal. And also remember that the real you is NOT your ego. Perhaps you should start at the beginning?

The Nature of Reality

An Inquiry into the Nature of Being

No! Not human species. Any species. We all began as an idea. Next: mind evolved. Then imagination joined forces. And, lo and behold, here we are.

You and I, and… all the species. The amorphous energy slowing down.

Recently I converted 152 essays I’d written some years ago into paperback editions. To my surprise I noticed that a number of subjects, so-called ‘mysteries’ I’d ‘unveiled’ there, I am once more dissecting in some of my blogs. This in itself does no harm as my essays delve deeper into the subjects, and there is little chance that the same reader would venture upon both, my Essays and my Blogs. If so, however, they might learn a gentle improvement in my own understanding of the same Truth, let alone an improved ability to be concise.

But this is not the matter that surprised me.

What literally amazed me was that I continually stumble across the same Truth that is imbedded deep within my psyche. I strongly suspect that people who indulge in daily contemplation share the same experience. To abide in the Present, Truth must be continuously rediscovered.

Truth is One, but It can be examined from infinite number of points of view. It is buried deep within us all, waiting to be discovered. Hence my thesis that everything already exists in potential form, and that our eternal task is to bring it out “into the open”, to make it pragmatic, or perhaps to share it with others. Each one of us has something unique to contribute to this journey of discovery. I can but hope that you’ll walk with me part of the way.

As you read my Essays you might sense moments of eureka, moments of discovery, when if fact they were simply moments of recognition that the concepts you read have always been yours, have always hovered on the very edge of your perception, waiting for a propitious moment, or the right push, to come to the forefront of your awareness.

This only means that Truth has always been yours. That it was always within you, but which devolution we all experience since we’ve left Eden and became exposed to exigencies of everyday life, has pushed into deeper recesses of our awareness. There It lingers, silently, waiting for the opportune moment to come to the fore.

I can also but hope that my Essays will reawaken your memories, and that uniqueness of your consciousness will enrich the genetic archetypes in the racial memory.

I’d love to hear from you, to have you share your own memories in the form of (brief) comments, or reviews, of wherever you found in my Essays.

I must remind you that I am not a keeper of racial memory, but—we are. You and I, and as of few years ago, some seven billion of us, all waiting and trying to remember where we came from, and to some extent some of us, were we are going.

Until then, happy journey.

Reexamining Fundamentalism.

I am not competent to discus Quantum Theory. My one consolation is that, apart from Sheldon Cooper of “The Big Bang Theory” TV, nor is anyone else. According to Richard Feynman, if anyone claims to understand Quantum Theory, he or she is lying. He should now. He got the Nobel Prize for attempting to understand it. For knowing more about it than we do. Which, he would be the first to admit, is still not saying much.

Lately it seems that more scientists are attacking theologians then the other way around. Frankly, I wouldn’t care who’d win, as both sides of the equation appear to be sinking into the quagmire of fundamentalism. They are both likely as not to commit a protracted suicide.

To my knowledge, for the first time in human history Quantum Theory introduced the dogma of probability. Since the human species is still in its infancy, anyone stepping into scientific, religious, or even philosophical subject with a fundamentalist certainty is bound to die a painful, protracted, and absurdly unnecessary death.

Even in terms of the present Universe, and there may have been countless little Big Bangs before ‘ours’, we are babes in the woods.

And… it seems, we are advancing deeper and deeper into the jungle of ignorance. We are not advancing but drifting away from the truth.

Hence Pragmatic Realism. Only that which does not deny or infringe on Universal Laws—the Laws that we are only just beginning to study—is OK.

For now.

All else are DELUSIONS.

If we survive till tomorrow we might learn more about our potential. That would be evolution. Not how to kill people or other members of the animal kingdom. At present we don’t even know how many neurons we have in our heads. Somewhere between 50 and 100 billion our scientists say. A typical neuron fires 5-50 times every second. Before we destroy our planet shouldn’t we at least become aware of the functions of some of the 100-1000 trillion synapses? Our potential must be staggering!

We don’t even know how to make our hearts beat faster or how to raise the temperature of our body by an act of our will.

Since our little Big Bang, nature managed to equip us with a magnificent biological computer we call brain. Isn’t it time we began using it? And please, let us never forget that the brain doesn’t think. We think, I suspect we use our mind for that. We use the brain to translate our ideas into the energy of thoughts. The rest follows.

That’s all folks!

Let us learn to use our magnificent computer before we learn how to destroy it. There is not much time left…

Then, and only then, we shall begin to know one or two percent of how the Universe works. And until then, and I address both the scientists and the sacerdotal brethren, please, let us show a little, just a little more humility.

We are still, yet again, in kindergarten.

Imponderable Gifts

Tests and tribulations

We often dream of becoming famous—seldom if ever analyzing what fame entails. In fact, until we awaken to the true reality, our dreams and aspirations are dictated by our egos.

A fatal predisposition.

But things can get even worse. There are occasions when we do not ask for anything. When we are quite content with our own achievements, the results of our own efforts, and then, unexpectedly things happen, which upset the applecart we have so carefully loaded with the fruit of our labours.

We call is fate; or bad luck; or, if we’re religious, the will (or wrath) of Gods. I doubt if anyone of us would ever call such circumstances a “blessing”.

And yet… things happen.

Our carefully prepared plans are laid waste for no reason that we can understand. In times of war, God forbid a “World War”, such as I’d experienced in my youth, we are more likely to accept it. It is much easier to suffer together than individually. When we are “all in this together” we shrug our shoulders and do the best we can.

But this in not how the world works.

The reality of our world is built on individuals. Every single one of us has a specific function to perform, to develop his or her unique talent to enhance the order and harmony of the Universe. As often mentioned in my blogs, Many are called, but only Few are chosen. Luckily only the Chosen ones are subjected to special tasks, often ordeals, which the Many could never cope with. Such ‘gifts’ are arduous enough even for the chosen Few.

The moral of the story is, “be careful what you ask for”. The Universal Laws take you as fast along the eternal road of evolution as you are capable of going. We all travel at our own pace. We must be glad that we are not rushed along the steep climb to the realm where only gods dare walk. Some tried too early and had their wings burned. Ask Icarus. Your time will come as soon as you are ready.

The paradoxes inherent in unwanted gifts are illustrated in the story of Dr. Peter Thornton. He was more than happy minding his own business, doing “his thing” with the nurses in linen closets. He was a brilliant yet also a very ordinary man. Perhaps that is why he’d been chosen.

Dr. Thornton [ONE JUST MAN, Book One of the Winston Trilogy] had been granted gifts he’d never asked for, although he did yearn professional success. His wishes had been granted in a very different way than he’d expected. Universal Laws operate on very unexpected premises. By human standards, some gifts can be deadly. Thus again, be very careful what you ask for. You, too, might be given more than you can stew.

Read the book and let me know. And if you promise to write me a review, you’ll get a free copy. Your thoughts are important to me. That’s how I learn.

The Invisible Man

A Love Story

In broadest sense we can define Love as that which draws us together, and hatred as that which sets us apart. Like centripetal and centrifugal forces. It seems logical to assume that all energies, including Love, change rates of vibration to manifest in different realities.

Since in pre Big Bang state we were, and in a certain respects always remain, an Amorphous One—any departure from this condition is a diminution of Love. Hence, our first awareness of Love occurs at the unconscious or intuitive level. Gradually, often surprisingly, we become aware of sharing ideas, which manifest as thoughts. These evolve from subliminal, seemingly irrational, attraction, until emotions become involved. Sex, is merely the consummation of what is already there.

The most surprising phenomenon of the energy of Love is that we can no longer differentiate between ourselves, and the object of our irresistible attraction. Hence, instead of becoming enslaved, which physical desire produces, we achieve almost euphoric sense of freedom.

I strongly suspect that the abundance of book covers that display various naked female or male bodies inspired me to write a love story. Not a story wherein love is defined by sex, sadomasochistic explorations, interwoven with frequent scattered corpses. Not a murder story with subservient women begging to be treated as dolls, sex-slaves, or insipid men with equal desire to be toy-boys.

I wanted to write a story where Love is defined by the desire to feel intuitive oneness with another person. We tend to place the object of our affection on a pedestal, perhaps expecting more than the person can deliver. There may be struggles, arguments, but there is a line one cannot cross. Neither must push the other to the point where he or she becomes disheartened. A line beyond which he or she no longer gives a damn. Only then we learn that not hatred but indifference is the opposite of love. It is equivalent to universal entropy.

To Absolute Zero.

In my story there would be a union of emotions, seeking a meeting of minds. There will be moments when the spirit that inhabits each of them becomes irresistibly drawn into a sublime union.

That, would be my love story.

We are all unique individualizations of the Whole. Each of us has sublimely unique purpose to fulfill. There are always reasons why from within an ocean of seven billion people, just these two had met to complement each other. Perhaps intended to experience, if only for an instant of eternity, the euphoria of two becoming One again.

That, and that alone leads to the antechamber of heaven, or at the very least offers a whiff of paradise that only they, together, can experience. There and only there one can lose one’s identity, become invisible, lost in the ocean of Love. Perhaps that is what unconditional Love offers.

It worked for Marvin Clark.

Perhaps it can work for you, too. It is quite easy. It simply means becoming invisible.

It’s just a Love Story.

The Amorphous Energy

Einstein made is easy for us. There is no matter, he’d said, all is energy. It differs only in rates of vibration. When the rate slows down sufficiently, we perceive it as matter. Also, he said, nothing can be created nor destroyed in the Universe.

That’s all Folks!

As nothing can be created, it must be already there. Whereas nothing can be destroyed, it makes it immortal. Hence, the Creative Potential must be inherent in the Source. It expresses Itself through initiating and then influencing rates of vibration to manifest as different forms of energy.

Thus everything already exists as Potential Amorphous Energy. It is shapeless, formless, indeterminate, unclassifiable. Even as Spinoza refused to define God, so we cannot define Amorphous Energy. What we do know is that ALL attributes exist within It in Potential Form.

We must thus unavoidably conclude that the Amorphous Energy (some people call it God), from which the Universe and therefore we originate, is our Source.

The ONLY Source!

I find it strange that for some reason people are perfectly willing to accept seasons, periods of sleep and renewal, (winter and spring) but only as regards to Nature that surrounds us. We, it seems, are on a one-way trip, from the crib to the coffin.

Not so.

For those who identify themselves with their bodies, the only difference is that for them the cycles of renewal are much longer. For vast majority who have children, most of their attributes are passed on through chromosomes to their progeny. If not, then there are other streams of energy that extend aspects of our lives way beyond our transient physical existence.

For that we must return to Einstein.

The only way we can affirm his theory is to accept that emotions and thoughts are also forms of energy, whose rates of vibrations are much faster than those we perceive as matter. The faster the vibrations, the longer the shelf-life. Hence, emotions continue well beyond our biological life, and ideas expressed in thoughts span much longer still. To illustrate, we continue to love those who already ‘died’ (withdrew from their physical enclosures). As for ideas of great composers, or mystics such as Lao Tsu, Gautama Buddha, or Yeshûa, they seem almost eternal.

Finally, and again according to Einstein, nothing can be created in the Universe. Hence Consciousness must have been an a priori attribute inherent in the Source (as were all other rates of energy—in their Potential Form).

All we need do is to identify ourselves with the Source Energy before it slowed down to vibrations of thoughts, emotions and finally matter, and our immortality is assured.

Our Individualized Consciousness is indivisible from the Universal Consciousness. We can spend lifetimes trying to define the attributes of the Infinite Potential within the Source. Perhaps exploring this infinity is part of the master plan for the Individualization of Consciousness. We all have our unique purpose to pursue.

Voilà! The mystery of Life unfolded in 500 words.

Thomas offers you more.

Commentary on Gospel of Thomas

(Nag Hammadi)

Cats & Dogs

Or would you rather be a fish?

There is an old tradition in the East—where all the great philosophies come from—that there is not only reincarnation threatening retribution but also transmigration.

The concept of reincarnation is relatively simple.

An Individualized Consciousness returns to phenomenal reality to continue working on the mental and emotional energies it developed in previous incarnations.

Transmigration, on the other hand, implies that the efforts on one’s previous life were so dismal, that one has to go back to square one, or square 84,000, or whatever level one achieved before screwing things up beyond repair. The Individualized Consciousness decides that it might be better off to relearn the first principles of phenomenal reality at mental and emotional level in a body of an animal, which being the product of Universal Laws is closer to Nature.

In all cases it is YOU, the Individual Consciousness that makes such a decision.

It is neither punishment nor reward, just expediency. There is no punishment or reward build into Universal Laws. There are only consequences.

Just as in Isaac Newton’s laws.

While most advanced theological thinkers deny the concept of transmigration, I strongly suspect they are influenced by their ego. For some reason we think ourselves superior to other life forms. Yet Love bestowed by females, and often males, throughout animal kingdom strongly denies this hypothesis. I’d strongly suggest that while Love may be more strongly anchored in chromosomal make up of animal parents, making them less disposed to acting against their intrinsic nature, nevertheless, it is very powerfully displayed in their behaviour.

We, humans, seem to be virtually the only species that can act against our best interests. It is the first step towards the participation with Universal Laws at conscious level.

And there’s the rub.

While other animal are still subject to inherent control, we can choose to be as stupid, as obnoxious, as homicidal, as disgustingly selfish as we want.

What most of us forget is the Law of Karma.

It is no more and no less exacting as any other Universal Law. And if we show unprecedented ignorance of Its postulates, then please, don’t be surprised if the next time you visit the phenomenal reality you bark like a dog, or meow like a cat, or crawl like a snake, or eat like a pig, which, judging by your behaviour in your previous life as human, you most resembled. Remember that your next form, shape, the number of neurons in your brain and the ensuing level of intelligence will be most suited your most rapid advancement. Being a dog or a cat may be the best thing that ever happened to you. Snakes are probably reserved only for politicians. Some snakes are very beautiful and they don’t even bite. Or, as Bing Crosby asked, “…would you rather be a fish?” But, he adds, “You could be better than you are… you could be swinging on a star.”

Argument for Evolution

Within and Without

The remnants of past knowledge reach us in symbolic form. We ate the apple from the tree of knowledge. Our subconscious (Eve) substituted knowledge from without for the knowledge that lies deep within our psyche. We got expelled from Eden—from Paradise, wherein all knowledge came only from within.

Today only little children retain this natural ability to create reality by converting unconscious ideas into imaginary phenomena. Yet, all too soon, we, adults, the all-knowing apes of dubious intelligence, destroy this trait by substituting knowledge gained from within, by pseudo-knowledge acquired from without.

Parents, teachers, preachers, scientists, substitute illusory phenomenal reality for true reality.

Few of us seem aware of dual evolution. One affects our environment—the other our relationship to that environment. The first might be named the evolution without, the latter—within. The first creates conditions in which less and less is expected of us—as our lives are simplified by technology. Our physical and mental needs are sated by outside influences. A plethora of gadgets usurps our attention, which results in, what Albert Einstein prophetically called, “a generations of idiots.”

That’s us. The gadgeteers.

And then there is the Inner Evolution.

Many if not most scientists deny that such even exists. They pride themselves in being atheists, not realizing that, except for the sacerdotal society fewer and fewer people recognize even the Bible as a religious document.

To set the record straight, Bible is a compendium of knowledge accumulated over thousands of years, designed to help us with our inner evolution. It states repeatedly that we (ye) are gods, that “father and I are one”, that we are ALL “children of the most high”. That the only heaven we shall ever experience is within us. It encourages us to continue discovering the divinity, or better said, the Infinite Potential that simmers within us, waiting to be discovered.

Some, very few, discover at least a smidgen of the power that is our rightful heritage. We refer to those few as geniuses, immortal composers, painters, poets, even scientist; all whose raison d’être, whose fulfillment, was derived from the Unconscious within. There, and only there, lies our invincible, immortal power. ‘Without’ are only the consequences, the results, that illustrate our hidden Potential.

And yet, YE ARE GODS!

All of us.

We must evolve the Potential Within, rather than rely on gadgets we invent to reduce our thinking to absolute minimum—to become a generation of idiots.

I attempted to illustrate the above premise in my Alexander Trilogy. In Book One, ALEC, the protagonist of the same name, takes the first steps along the path of self-discovery. In ALEXANDER he climbs towards meeting his real potential. Finally his son, SACHA, takes the gigantic steps towards evolutionary apex.

Like his father, Sacha evolved within, and gradually advanced towards clearer understanding what was his purpose for being on Earth. We all have unique missions, unique contributions to the evolution within.

Shouldn’t the rest of us at least try to find out what ours is?

2000 years of Ignorance

3,300 Words in Bible NEVER Translated

Truth must be continuously rediscovered. Perhaps the learned scholars left so many words not translated in the Old and New Testaments, to await the time when people will be capable of accepting and absorbing the Truth hidden from the “unholy eyes”. I remind you of an astounding promise. If you find out for yourself what Moses, Jesus and the prophets really said to their people. "The truth will set you free."

According to Emmet Fox, the celebrated author of a number of books on biblical subjects, the time has come. It might have something to do with the Age of Aquarius, during which period, lasting some 2150 years, we are to earn to stand on our own feet, most probably without propping ourselves up with religious dogmas, priesthood and, perhaps most of all without TV evangelists who, according to other TV programs, are robbing people blind.

To each his and her own.

I prefer to walk “The road less travelled”. I hope, once you discover the mysteries, which my Dictionary of Biblical Symbolism unveils, so will you. You will cut your own way through the jungle of theological arguments with confidence born of the Truth you discovered on your own.

From the first High Priest of Israel, (c. 1564 BC - 1451 BC), it was all downhill. Finally Yeshûa (Jesus) described the priesthood as: “Ye blind guides” (Matt. 23:16), “Ye fools” (Matt. 23:17), “Ye serpents” (Matt. 23:33), “Ye generations of Vipers” (Matt. 23:33), “hypocrites” (Luke 11:44), and some other well chosen phrases. No wonder they crucified him. He was not good for business?

Little has changed.

We seem to forget that when most of the Bible was written there were NO churches, NO (Christian priesthood as yet), NO Vatican, no TV evangelists. The purpose of the Bible was quite different. Now, thanks to my Dictionary, you can find out for yourself what it was all about.

No. I am NOT going to tell you what the Bible teaches. I leave that to today’s version of Scribes and Pharisees. But I offer you the means to find out for yourself. I’ll show you how I did it for myself, but you must travel your road on your own.

The road less travelled.

I conclude with an excerpt from a review of the Dictionary by an author from England, Alistair Forrest:

“…I am an enthusiast of the Old Testament as history. Now there is a way to read and understand the OT as teaching. I am so grateful for Stanislaw's dictionary and his depth of understanding, especially in the extremely helpful examples he gives of understanding otherwise seemingly dry OT passages.

...This deserves wide recognition not only among the followers of religion but also anyone seeking inspiration and understanding.”

Remember, according to the document we are discussing, Ye are gods and heaven is within you. Everyone of you. Or at least the Potential dwells within your Consciousness.

The rest is up to you.

Good luck!

YESHÛA—A Personal Memoir

A man who refused to be God

There is a strange dichotomy seemingly built into human psyche. We want to celebrate our achievements, exalt our ego, and yet we need others to take the blame if things go wrong. Also, no matter how high our ego takes us, we all seem to reach even higher, to an Entity we call God, and no matter how successful we become, most of us live in fear that this imaginary Entity will slap our wrists if we misbehave.

In this sense, we are still children though no longer in Paradise.

As a child, Essenes steeped in tradition, engrossed in prophecies, indoctrinated Yeshûa’s young mind. Soon Yeshûa must have realized that the teaching had little to do with everyday life, nor was it practiced by the majority of people.

Disappointed, at first opportunity he escaped their ministrations. Like any young man, he needed freedom to think on his own.

Personal Memoir of the Missing Years of Jesus

This is why the Bible remains silent regarding the next 18 years of Yeshûa’s life. We can only speculate what must have happened during those years. One thing we do know, and that is that Yeshûa remained faithful to the teaching of the Prophets and the Mosaic Law. He already noticed that neither the Scribes nor Pharisees practiced the Law. He needed to broaden his horizons, study other religions, philosophies.

On his eventual return to Jerusalem, he shared his knowledge. What this was you can read in the Bible, providing you accept that in his day people had their own idiomatic way of expressing ideas. Hence the Dictionary of Biblical Symbolism I offered last week.

Once thing we know for certain, and that is that if it weren’t for his travels and the acquired learning, Christianity would never have happened. He would not have the knowledge to point out how far the Israelites of his day have drifted from the original philosophy.

How Yeshûa may have reached his conclusions is the story of my book. There may have been other ways. My story explores one possibility. My researched was based on data available at the time of my writing.

We must remember that some 1300 years before Yeshûa was born, Moses had similar problems. People of each generation stray away from their origins and slowly drift into the realities of illusion and deceit. Thanks to Einstein and quantum physicists we now know that physical reality is sham. That in fact it consists exclusively of energy, and that even that which we recognize as ‘solids’, or matter, are merely quanta of energy slowed down sufficiently for us to be recognized with our physical senses. And… even then those quanta are 99.99999etc… empty space.

Yeshûa did not have our advantages. Yet, like his prophetic predecessors, he had to imagine a reality where ‘spirit’, or Consciousness is the only reality. Not easy for people steeped in phenomenal reality… just like most of us are even today. Perhaps one day, like Yeshûa’s, our journey will turn inwards.

Let me know what you think.

Restoring Wholeness

Male and Female created He them, states the book of Genesis. We seem to forget that the statement has a double meaning. One, that having created Adam He, God, went about creating Eve (rib story). But there is the second, less fundamentalist meaning which makes a lot more sense, and that is that originally we evolved as hermaphrodites. That the human species carries both, male and female characteristics, and they differ only in certain, almost marginal qualities.

Sorry. This must come as a shock to some…

Although it seems by far the most prevailing subject for fiction published lately, I am not talking about erotica, porno or even ‘just’ sex. What I am saying is that men and women are both equipped with the same Subconscious, i.e. indelible memory, and that Consciousness is expressed as much but not identically through both, men and women. The realm of Universal Consciousness is so vast, in fact infinite, that it needs a little diversity through which to express Itself. We, men and women, inter alia, provide this diversity. The physical differences between us are, frankly, marginal. Hence… homosexuals, androgens, intersex, epicenes, biological bisexuals, gynandromorphs, which are all common in the diversity of nature.

We are no different.

All living organism store genetic information in the same molecules, known as DNA and RNA.

We are all carriers of the amorphous energy of life.

However, we are not concerned here with physical differences, but with other human characteristics such as the functioning of our mind and emotions, which contribute to our creative capacity.

We use our brains to diversify and process the vastness of the input we receive from our Unconscious. To aid us in this endeavour, nature equipped us with the left and right hemispheres of the brain. While both are made up of billions of identical neurons, their arrangement is such as to favour specific functions, partially at the expense of the other. Only very few and very exceptional people can balance both hemispheres and apply the total of their capacity and ability to the task at hand.

We must remember that the word ‘holy’, which we came to equate with ‘sacred, ‘consecrated’, or ‘sanctified’, originates from the same root as ‘whole’ or ‘healthy’. Hence ‘holy’ means complete or undivided.

This brings us to the stories of Anne Howell of Avatar Syndrome and Headless world.

Neurosurgeons at the Montreal Neurological Hospital discovered that in Anne’s brain the Medulla Oblongata and the Pons that act as communication and coordination center between the two halves of the brain, are disproportionally larger than in average people. This in addition of the ‘over-developed’ corpus callosum, which connects the two hemispheres, also contributed to Anne having unprecedented ability to draw on both halves of her brain in unison.

It bears mentioning that is it usual to have the front portion of corpus callosum larger in musicians than non-musicians…

The rest is history. She became a world-renown virtuoso. There were other consequences, on global scale, which you’ll have to discover for yourself in the sequel, the Headless World.

The Body and Soul.

The physical body is little more than a symbol, an operating convenience—the end product of energies oscillating within.

Soul is not a spirit with hazy contours appearing whimsically to people in a religious trance. This image belongs in Hollywood, in films such as “Ghostbusters”: great fun, but far from reality.

Soul is a biblical name for our Subconscious, or the sum-total of memories, which identify us from other “Entities”. And those Entities are, by definition inseparable Individualizations of the Omnipresent Universal Consciousness. Although we give It some esoteric names, this Universal Consciousness referred to by many as God, is beyond any definition. As Baruch Spinoza once said, “to define God is to deny God,” as the act of defining sets limits, and thus detracts from the Infinite. Spinoza paid dearly for daring to speak the truth. At human level we can think of the Universal Consciousness as the Unconscious, which is the Infinite Source of ideas. Then, depending on the evolutionary level we’ve achieved, we can attempt to convert those ideas into thoughts, ignite them with imagination and eventually bring them out, so to speak, into the transient, ephemeral, illusory phenomenal reality.

Now imagine Yeshûa attempting to explain this to Peter, the other apostles, and to a lesser degree the “Many”. Even speaking to the “Few Chosen Ones”, he often commiserated with “Why do you not understand my speech?!” (John 8:43 et alii: other references at ). The language Yeshûa spoke did not offer ‘modern’ terminology.

Today, thanks to Albert Einstein and Max Plank (Niels Bohr, Louis de Broglie and a few others), we are just beginning to grasp the consequences of the permeability of ‘matter’. This, in turn, leads to the creative process, which allows various energies to change their rate of vibration, and to slow down sufficiently to become detectible to our senses.

How Yeshûa learned the Universal Truth must, at least for now, remain a mystery. Yet, but some means or other, perhaps by direct thought transfer, he managed to inspire Peter sufficiently for him to grasp the essence of indestructible amorphous energy of Consciousness.

Paul did not enjoy this one-on-one educational advantage. All along he suspected that Peter was right, and that the journey that he, Paul, was not quite on the right track.

It took Peter an incredibly traumatic experience, a threefold denial of knowledge of his Master, teacher, and friend, before he managed to sublimate his ego. It's that difficult. Sublimation of ego means the loss of the sense of separation from the Whole.

It was even harder for Paul. Brought up in Jerusalem, schooled at the feet of Gamaliel in the law of the fathers, he fought any intrusion into tradition. Yeshûa’s teaching was anathema to him.

Until one day…

Until one day he had a vision. From that moment on he did the best he could to prepare people at large, the Many, for the “Good News”. Alas, he lacked the Master’s personal touch.

It wasn’t easy. Read on…

Things my Mother told me

Sometime ago I questioned whether a long life is a blessing, or a karmic punishment for deeds or thoughts committed in present or past incarnations. The jury is still out. For some reason, people who no longer contribute to the creative benevolence of the Universe, seem to hung on to dear life. Only, the life is no longer dear. Often they are sick, live on analgesics, hover on the edge of dementia if not Alzheimer’s.

They are the same people who fall asleep every day, never knowing if they are going to wake up. On waking they often enjoy at least vague recollection of their dreams, yet seldom if ever do they realize that the Subconscious, which seeds their dreams with wondrous experiences, is hardly more nor less then the heaven they are so determined to avoid. Admittedly, not the highest heaven, not even a high one, but heaven nevertheless where we are free to enjoy the seemingly impossible with impunity. In our dreams we are immortal, blessed with near infinite power, capable of travelling well beyond the velocity of light. We can change realities with a wink of our chimerical eye; chimerical, yet in our dreams, as real as the soil beneath our feet.

In our dreams, we are gods.

And this brings me to The Gate—Things my Mother told me.

We visited my mother frequently, first taking her for a walk, towards the end pushing her in a wheelchair often, at her request, to the chapel. And there she gave indisputable evidence that the instinct of self-preservation is not always a blessing. She was a practicing Catholic, blessed with powerful faith. Hence it came as a surprise when we overheard her pleas uttered before the cross at the altar.

“Take me,” she pleaded. “Please, please, take me…”

Her religious conditioning did not allow her to accelerate her translation from the phenomenal reality to a higher realm, even that of first heaven.

Someone wrote: “The Gate—Things my Mother told me” draws you in with subtlety, wit, compassion and faith. An intriguing and captivating look at the last sixty years of western culture that holds you even though we all know how her story is going to end. It will be of particular interest to people who experienced Alzheimer's or Dementia in their immediate family.

And others added…

This is a jewel of a piece of writing…” noted Kate Jones.

A novel that deserves to be read by millions of people,” commented author Johann David Renner.

What brilliance this is. …it’s nearly impossible to find comparable smart, curious, insightful and imaginative writing on his level… How do we construct a life with love? How do we teach ourselves how to die?

the book does something I've never experienced before in moving from very self aware memoir towards an awareness of the dementia/dying processes, and then to a lack of awareness of them.

Achingly beautiful…” insisted Alex Prosper in his review.

Let me know what you think.

Creating your own Universe

We keep forgetting that we are gods. All of us. The Old Testament, the Torah, stipulates that Elohim had created the world. Few of us seem to know that in Hebrew, Elohim is plural. It means gods. And since creation is an ongoing process we, you and I, continue to create our worlds, our Universes, or better said our realities, on an ongoing basis. Whatever we visualize, develop with our minds by listening to our Unconscious, then enliven the idea with our imagination and emotions, sooner or later becomes our personal reality.

When our creations overlap with other peoples’, the reality becomes objective. Usually, it is only what we perceive with our physical senses.

That, however, does NOT make it ‘real’ in either the subjective nor objective sense. It is transient, ephemeral. As mentioned, creation is an ongoing process.

The mention in the Torah that Universe had been created in 7 days is just a metaphor. In the Bible number 7 represents personal perfection, a sort of fait accompli. Done. Finished. Actual perfection refers only to ideas that reach us from the Unconscious, not to what we manage to manifest in the phenomenal reality. The final product, as we know, is illusory. Transient. Ephemeral. Only our transient egos call it real. Today’s scientists know that ‘material’ world is “virtually empty space”. Einstein called it intertwining energy fields.

Not real.

So… why bother?

That is the secret of all secrets. All ideas already exist in their perfect Potential Form. Our access to them is only through our Unconscious. Hence meditation/contemplation is so important. The Subconscious is the storehouse of what we’ve already experienced; of all realities we’ve already visualized and manifested in the past. The new stuff, the omnipresent, inexhaustible Source of new ideas, hovers on the edge of our Consciousness in the eternal, infinite, Unconscious.

Some people call it God, with a capital G.

The Creative Process is eternal.

It is our ability to participate in It that makes us gods. Visualization is the first indispensible step towards its implementation. We are not here to slave and suffer “forever after”. That reality is an invention of ignorant pessimists, or sadists, who want to scare people with their image of hell, or with eternal boredom of heaven depicted as “eternal rest”.

Heaven is right here and how. As the “Good Book” says, within you. That’s within you and me. Everyone. You can’t die and ‘go’ to heaven. Where you ‘go’ is to a temporary holiday, a haven of your Subconscious. There you, the Individualized Consciousness, have access to all your memories, and you can relive them at will. Good and bad. Your choice.

Remember, you are not your phenomenal, i.e. temporary physical body. You are, as I am, the Consciousness that abides in it, for the sole purpose of being gods. And being gods simply means being creative. It means developing abstract ideas that reach us from the Unconscious into realities we might share with others.

It’s a wonderful life!

Winston’s Kingdom

Gods in Waiting.

Most of us are still gods in waiting, or, like Winston, hiding behind a veil of anonymity. The potential is already there. 100 billion neurons, and many more glial cells that serve and protect those neurons, are biding their time for us to make full use of them. Each neuron fires 5 to 50 times every second forming thousands of links with other neurons. Assuming you and I possess a typical brain, we, and everyone else, is equipped with well over 100 trillion synapses—some estimate up to 1000 trillion—ready and waiting to carry out our creative will.

Now do you believe we are gods in waiting?

And we are a relatively primitive species inhabiting an insignificant planet, circling an insignificant sun, in a relatively insignificant galaxy.

Now do you believe that gods are omnipresent?

Our brains are only the means; the biological computers which, in a few thousand, perhaps million years, we shall learn how to use their full capacity. Today few of us even know that we have a biological computer programmed to run our biological systems, to take us through the kindergarten of our Becoming.

Looking back, there is only one way to learn.

We must sublimate our ego to the Life Force that brought us from theoretical ideas to human forms. Once we were an idea that became a thought, which became a word. And then—as the ancients expressed it in their uniquely poetic way—“the word was made flesh”.

It seem that we can only advance on the evolutionary scale if we accept that we are only the means for the Universal Consciousness to do Its bidding through us. Some of us achieved a vague awareness that this Consciousness had chosen to individualize Itself through countless units, such as you and I, and innumerable other Individualizations peppered throughout the infinity of the Universe.

In saecula saeculorum?

And imagine… in order to improve the product of Its creation Individualized Consciousness chooses to spend fragments of eternity within an ephemeral biological construct, which will soon be recycled into the vortex of other energies of which the phenomenal reality consist.
